Back in Adelaide - Day 1

--
Last night we got quite late to the Travellers Inn hostel and didn't have the chance to look around so when we got up the following morning, had a shower and walked around the place, AĆda and I had a quick chat and decided to change hostels and get back to the one we were in before going to Kangaroo island.

There wasn't anything wrong with the current hostel...it was just that the other one had pancakes in the morning and apple pie in the evening. :-)''

Apart from that there was another important factor almost as important as the pancakes and the apple pie. In order to get to the centre from our current hostel we had to take a free bus back to town and the frequency of this bus was every 30 minutes, which is not bad but the other hotel was right in the centre and you don't have to bother in taking buses you can just walk anywhere.

So we took the decision of going back to the backpackers hotel called Cannon Street but that is in Franklin Street. :-)

So we did the check out and I must admit I felt guilty doing the change because the staff in travellers Inn hostel was really nice and helpful but I just can't be bothered in taking a bus every time I need to go to the hostel or to the centre.

We still had more than 1/2 hour before the free bus so following the receptionist's recommendation we went to a local bakery to have breakfast. As it was my birthday we had to start the day with a proper breakfast.

And it was good. :-) When we finished, we got onto the bus and headed for Cannon Street in Franklin Street. We did the check in there, left all our stuff and went to meet a couple of the girls from the Kangaroo island tour (Anja and Ophelie) so we could all have lunch together.

We all met at Victoria Park which is a park right in the centre of town...and with all these "designed" towns, when I say it is in the centre I mean in the exact centre of town.

Once we were all together we went to the central market and look for a place to have lunch, as we couldn't find what we were looking for we settled for Lucias a italian looking cafe and we all order some dissapointing looking pizzas which were deceivingly decent. :-)

Then we went to book an excursion for tomorrow, the Barrossa Valley and at the travel agency they had a giant world map.

Then we tried to go to a famous chocolate shop in town called Haigh's chocolates founded in 1915, unfortunatelly it was closed. Everything closes really early here. We still have a couple of days to come and try it, but I've managed to take a few photos for your viewing pleasure only. :-)

And these are the photos that will delight to all the chocoholics among you

Nothing remarkable in the whole day really but it was like a break after all the travelling and it felt good. Tomorrow we have an excursion so it should be a more exciting day than today.
