Broome - Day 1

--
Broome only has 2-3 places to stay, it's quite a small place and it turned out that Kimberly club in Broome, where we were staying, was quite a nice place.

In the morning I went to the local McDonalds to catch up with emails, and upload some of the last tour entries on the blog, after that I went back to the accomodation to meet everyone and we went to the local market where we practically spent the rest of the morning.

For the afternoon, we all had other plans. :-)
Outside it was so hot that is hard to describe but after 2 minutes in the sun you turn around and get back to a place with air con. A 5 minutes walk felt like a 20 Km walk through the mountains...

So in the afternoon we wised up and stayed by the swimming pool were we had a lot of fun and stayed there until our skin couldn't wrinkle anymore.

I had many different alias but Aída got hers too. :-) Fish girl!

Underwater photography is quite hard if you don't have a mask or googles because you can never see what you're aiming at when you take your picture...nonetheless, out of the 50 or so we took a few are quite decent.

Then we all took a taxi and went to Cable beach for the sunset...apparently the sunset was something spectacular over there...and we, experts in sunsets, couldn't miss it.

Cable beach, the usual warnings.

This is quite a nice beach, a shame it's got stingers.

PHOTOS beach

but also very dangerous due to the stingers (extremely poisonous jelly fish).

Then we went down to the beach and took a few more pictures while waiting for the sunset

and then the sunset came...

And after the sunset we kept taking pictures

And thats how we ended our last day in Broome. Tomorrow we'll be taking a flight to Darwin.

It turned out that almost everyone is also flying to Darwin like us although in different dates so we'll probably end up having some company in Darwin. It'd be great!
