Perth to Broome - Day 9

--

The first thing we did this morning right after breakfast was to get in the bus and go to hospital to pick up Scott.

There was nothing remarkable about today, it was a long day on the road , driving through the outback. Perfect day for some "road pictures" :-)

The long road.

Today we had a newcomer to the road pictures, Laura decided to stop laughing at us taking weird pictures in the middle of the road and take some herself. :-)

We stopped for lunch at a a petrol station that had some kind of campsite attached to it, it was in the middle of nowhere and it was the kind of place where people spend the night and move along first thing in the morning...no point sticking around...

And kept driving and driving for miles until our final destination, a cattle station nearby Headland. As we got a bit late and the nights were still quite warm we didn´t bother with the tents and decided to sleep in our swags...
Yes, you are right. It is a beach volleyball field. It's just that at night you are bound to find fewer crawlers on  sand than on grass, hence everyone opted for the sand. :-)

We had dinner and I took the oportunity right after to take some random photos until it was time to go to bed...or the swag in this case. :-)
