Cyprus - Day 2 - Chilling out

--

Today it was a day to just chill out and relax. No more pick ups at the airport nor any other pressing engagements so we opted for going to the beach, which by the way was 500 metres from the villa where we were staying.

The beach was a rocky one, sand up to the shore, then peables and then once in the water and a few metres in, sand again.

That thing you can see on the background on some of the photos is not a wave, it is actually a man made barrier made from boulders stuck one on top of another, this creates a nice and still bay since most waves stop at the barrier and prevents any motor vehicules to enter the swimming area.

The water temperature was fantastic, 25C or so, you're actually better in the water than out of the water, so I practically spent most of the morning in the water. Alex and I swam to the barrier and stayed there for most of the time.

Then we went back to the villa to have lunch and right afterwards we went out for an ice-cream and as you can see by the below photo some people enjoyed their ice-cream beyond words...

then we went to the new villa where we'll be spending the rest of the week and let me tell you how amazing this place is... well, you better see the photos, sometimes words are not enough

And it wasn't any worse on the inside

This villa was a wedding present for Alex and Skeve. The owners let them stay on this villa for a week as a present and becase it was a huge villa, Alex and Skeve were kind enough to invite some of us to join them in the villa for the week so apart from them two and myself also Goulan, Kaya their two daughters, Tina, Darren and their two daughters (not sure whether the spelling is correct on all the names though).

At night we just got some fried calamari from a local restaurant and after putting the kids to bed, the adults  stayed late enjoying the fantastic night.

Alex at the end, Kaya on his left hand sideat, Darren on his right, Skeve at the bottom right, Tina (her older sister) at her left and then Goulan and her daughter Layla.

I am guessing you'll be seeing them all in lots of pictures since we are going to share the villa for a week.
